Sorry to comment on an old post, I have a questions in regards to the Harmonie organic butter.

I don't think it is a true 100% organic butter, on the back on the butter package it says that is only 80% organic blend which is kind of misleading if you are reading it from the top. Also it is using rapeseed oil (canola oil) which from what I have read is generally frowned upon.

In the nutrition information trans fat is listed: per serving as 0.2 and per 100 grams as 2.0 and I am pretty sure that this is the bad synthetic trans fat? not the naturally occurring trans fat? Makes me wonder why anyone would buy this thinking that it is organic when it has trans fat in it.

Ultimately, is this a safe butter to eat? Wouldn't plain old regular butter be a better alternative? or of course as you mentioned above the Pepe Saya butter?

Thank you.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the tip, will check them out.
Their chicken laska definately looks the part and they have the right ingredients.
But for some reason the flavours were dull, muted. Plus i was the only one there from 5:30pm - 8pm. Maybe that's saying something.

Hi Esther. I was mainly reviewing Kaki Lima for the laksa, and it certainly tasted fresh to me. For roti, though, I will always recommend Mamak, whose roti are so beautiful and light. I haven't found anywhere else in Sydney that makes roti nearly as good.

For other authentic Malaysian dishes, I've become a big fan of Petaling on George Street, near Chinatown. They have a wide number of dishes, many of which you don't find elsewhere in town. I can definitely vouch for their Marmite ribs, which were beautiful.

tried them for dinner. I'm disappointed.

Teh tarik - disappointed. they didnt get the right blend of tea. However the sweetness mirrored Malaysia's - too sweet. had the urge to shout out "teh tarik kurang manis!" (teh tarik less sweet!). The one I drink back at Auckland, NZ was top notch! even bested my local "mamak" at Kuala Lumpur!

Roti canai - tasted out of packet and they confirmed when I asked! well at least they didn't lie

Chicken satay - Highlight of the night. it's the best testing item that I've tried here

Laksa - OK, tasted like out of a packet. Didn't confirm for fearing of ruining my night

I would never go back ever. I don't expect 100% taste as in Msia but it tasted out of packet. Disappointed as hell. Will give Mamak a try
